Luna Ristorante in Venice

Everything about Luna is unique! Delicious food in giant portions. Memorabilia along every wall. This place is perfect for sharing, which my handsome hubby and I live for because then we try more dishes! The lava sauce for bread is super yummy and our server, Christine, was super attentive! We will definitely be taking our family, who is visiting us soon, to partake in true family style eating!!

If you want a great meal and get your Italian on, this is the place. Atmosphere is cozy and keeps your eyes wandering looking at all the interesting memorabilia on the walls and ceiling. Even when pretending um trying to pay attention to the conversation at your table. Such generous portions. A pound of pasta? Oh my. Food is tasty, the drinks made well. Great location. Walking distance to the local theatre and shops. Parking is a breeze. I went with friends and will definitely go back. Keep in mind it gets busy and only accepts cash or checks. See you at Lunas!

Fantastic place to get a great Italian meal. The portion sizes are unbelievable and everything tastes wonderful. Be sure to bring cash because they don’t take credit cards. Cash only. My family and I have been eating here for years and have never been disappointed. It does get busy at times in the evening so sometimes there is a wait but it’s never too long. Also they are closed sometimes throughout the year so be sure to call before you come down. If you like Italian food he will definitely be pleased! A+

This is a "must-do" place in downtown Venice. The food, location, and atmosphere are all top notch. If you've never been, here are some important tips.* They don't take credit cards or debit cards.*The food portions are enormous and meant to be shared. For instance, spaghetti and meatballs will come with a full pound of pasta.* This is a place to relax and enjoy. Share some wine, share some food, and share some stories. But don't be in a hurry.

Very comfortable. Service was on point. Very down to earth and friendly. Felt at home. Food was very good. We had the Angelina sauce which was like a vodka sauce with peas and ham. We did ham on side. Very flavorful and rich. Family style. The 3 of us took left overs. Very good for price. Definitely returning. Every employee was friendly and happy to be there. Great experience.

Now I can say the quality of the food has held up for two decades. Never disappointed. Plan to share. It's encouraged. Plenty of food and no extra plate cost.

While masks are not required to Be worn by the serving staff, as a respect to the patrons they should be wearing mask and wearing gloves. I actually had to debate with my waitress whether or not they should be wearing mask. I was wearing a mask and that protects the staff. The disrespect for the patrons by not wearing masks was appalling

Food is usually very good and portion sizes are large. Their only downfall is their quality of service. Waited over an hour for a pizza. Patience ran out and went to another restaurant for lunch.

Walked in ran out. Rude owner...not wearing a mask during the pandemic. If you want to deal with an irritating owner this is the place for you.

Great menu, great food, great atmosphere. Service was below average and they don’t take credit cards. I will come back because the price is right!

OMGooooodness. Huge portions ( think family style portions) . Great atmosphere..family friendly for sure. If you love looking at memorbilia of all kinds you will really dig it here.

Horrible service on a Saturday night! Came into tonight and was treated without one person greeting me. Stood at hostess post for 10 minutes without one person stopping by. Horrible service! The atmosphere was like Burger King, with kids running everywhere. I had heard good things previously, very disappointed! So glad I went to “Made in Italy” where I had 5 star service! Big let down Luna!

Fantastic really, really large servings - easily enough for 2 people. The lasagna was delicious.

Surprisingly excellent. Get the Antipasto salad. Don't think about it, just get it. And use the homemade Italian dressing.. Some other favorites, the chicken parm is excellent, as is the fettuccine alfredo. Oh, and did i mention the Antipasto salad? Get it. Your welcome.

Luna is a great Italian family style restaurant. You get lots of food for the money.

Food was really good. When we sat down they gave us bread with something to spread on it. I didn’t catch the name. It was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was cooked fresh so it did take awhile to come out but was worth it. Portions are big. Two of us shared one dish. Definitely will be going back!

Was recommended by a co-worker to try out Luna, I’m glad I took the advice. Went there for lunch with a friend. Loved the atmosphere and the eclectic decor! Had a very enjoyable conversation with the owner. He is a lovely man. Had their thin pizza 🍕. I didn’t care for the pizza but will go back to try other food.March 9,2020Went back with my husband and kids, tried their pasta dishes. (Just know that it’s a family style restaurant, that means everything dish can feed 4-5 people!!). Really very good food! We enjoyed the fresh bread they brought to the table. The calamari was also really good. Also all of you who maybe trying this restaurant for the 1st time- they only take cash and checks no plastic. Make sure you have some money 💴 in your pocket before going in. I very much enjoyed talking with the owner, she was very sweet. The place was very busy, and our waiter was not as attentive as we would like him to be, but in all it was a very good experience! Will go back 😃

Clean, comfortable, with entertaining surroundings throughout the restaurant. Waitress was friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed to have an enjoyable, satisfying, and delicious meal. The service was prompt and thoughtful. I'm on oxygen and use a walker to get around not to mention on a sodium restricted diet. She was caring and very helpful with suggestions for limiting my salt restriction with relation to what is on the menu. The food is the best by far.

This is a throw back restaurant! 1990s NY Italian food with family style approach. The dishes are for a family, the price are more than reasonable and the ambiance is warm. The service is consistently friendly and there is a lot of sport memotabilia to check out. Truly a Venice gem, which should be on a must see list for the City!

Great place!!! So many good choices. So much left overs. Awesome prices. I was shocked to see how big the dishes are. I will definitely be back again. I especially like all the sports memorabilia all over the walls and ceilings. Best Italian restaurant around hands down.

The food was amazing, and the portion sizes were out-of-this-world. Perspective: I bought the lasagna and ate until I was full. Like, I barely enough room for the amazing tiramisu. I brought the left-overs home and fed my 15 year old son, my 13 year old son, my 8 year old daughter, and my 6 year old son, and I had two meals.

This place has great Italian food I had lasagna my wife had a calzone which was the size of Montana everything was excellent we were with friends who ordered a large pie they said it was great

This restaurant is amazing! It was our first visit here so we all ordered separate meals. If you've never been here, the meals will feed a family of four, easily. You get a lot of food for the price! We ordered chicken alfredo and lasagna which was delicious! They don't charge a split plate fee, so I highly recommend that you share.

Luna is a great place to enjoy dinner with a group or just the 2 of you. The food is served family style with huge portions in large bowls or platters. One plate of anything is plenty for 2 adults. But most of my friends order one main course each, share, and still take home plenty of leftovers. The sauces are very authentic and delicious, and your dinner always begins with freshly baked bread. Leave the plastic at home though, because they only accept cash or check (cheque).My favourite is any pasta dish with the "Mario" sauce.The only reasons I don't give 5 stars is that they are so busy that there is often a bit of a wait to get your food, and the wooden table tops are old and often a little sticky.

First time and now new favorite! Food was amazing. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly. The whole staff really. Lasagna was the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant! It’s a great casual place, can’t wait to go back!

I very often have so much food , I bring 2 meals home with the leftovers GREAT !!

A great cozy dining experience. Lots of memorabilia on the wall and TVs can be viewed from just about any seat. A nice selection of outdoor seating as well. Before warned, the portion sizes are enormous. It's enough to feed two to three people easily. The service was excellent. The fresh bread was served warm and was delicious. The make your own pasta dishes are enormously portioned. Overall, a great dining experience

Food is amazing. Service is great. Serving sizes are family sized, so one dish is enough to feed 4. Only downside is they are a cash only no card place.

Outstanding family style food and wonderful service to go along with the interesting atmosphere. As a former NYer this business makes me proud to see all of the special memorabilia they have captured. If you're from NY (the city mostly) this is a must stop place. Cash and checks only no plastic accepted. But the prices are so reasonable you don't need to bring too much with you.

Food and service are great! It was our 1st time and we wish we had discovered this place earlier ☹️. I ordered chicken pot pie. It was excellent and too large. It's will be my next three meals for $22.

Excellent. Served family style. Large portions. Wonderful antipasto and veal parmesan. Really cool sports memorabilia on walls and ceiling. Great table service. Plenty of parking in front and on side.

Very good Italian food. Served family style. They do not take credit cards thou. Just be aware . Their days opened are posted on the calendar outside of the front door. We will come back.

Dined Saturday, May 24, Luna's has only been opened again after the lockdown for a very few days. They seemed short-handed, I expect many servers are taking advantage of the short-sighted action of Congress to make their unemployment check more than they would get working! Around 5:30 or so we had to wait about a half hour because every other table could not be used. Even so, our meal and wine were excellent and served without too much delay. Welcome back, Luna.

We’re always wonderfully welcomed every Friday evening when we come to Luna to take out “our favorite dish, pizza and amazing salad” as often as possible! Never though she is so very busy, Alicia is “off the charts” accommodating, friendly and personable with us as well as other customers. We truly feel welcomed here and come as often as possible for our “Friday evening Fix!” It’s just the little local town feel that we are so in love with Coupled with Luna’s great tasting food! We like the outdoor patio dining when the weather is good. And it usually IS! The seating inside is a whole experience too. There are pictures of celebrities all over the walls, which gives interesting character to the place.And the food is good, authentic Italian. Plan on taking some home or sharing. The portions are huge.

HUGE portions! Great servers. Nice atmosphere. Had a large group there and everything was fantastic. Only negative, no gluten free options.

Bring a big appetite and split your order to share with a hungry companion. Very good Italian entries and salads. Super homemade dipping sauce with fresh bread. No credit cards, so bring cash or checks book.

Food is family style, so dishes on the menu are meant to be shared. We had the chicken francaise over pasta. It was delicious! Service was a little lax the night we went but they acknowledged with comped wine. They were very busy. We also decided to order take out another night and got their pizza. The sesame seed pizza crust was great, the Slices were huge. Definitely going back next time we vacation here in venice. Indoor and outdoor seating available, we chose outdoor it was very relaxing.

Owner is extremely rude. There are lots of better places to go eat that are actually happy to have your business. She is WELL known to the locals for throwing customers out at 830 even though they close at 9.There is a reason this place isn't open in the summer: the locals refuse to patronize this place due to her absurd behavior.

First time there. Had pizza. It comes was great! Checked out the plates of food going by and everything looked fantastic. I will definitely go back and try something different. Be prepared though! They only take CASH! Not a problem but you want to be ready for it

Food was great, server was awesome. Don’t go there thinking you’re gonna watch a basketball game.. Sweatshops in China make the uniforms which is unacceptable to the owner, however you can enjoy your pasta with all Chinese made dishes..
